No fueron buenas las cifras de recaudación del Senador Barack Obama en el mes de mayo. Se hizo con 22 millones de dólares frente a los 21 millones de John McCain. Esa cantidad supone para Obama un descenso del 30% respecto a los números del mes de abril. En el banco tenía a finales de mayo 43 millones de dólares; McCain 31.
